Gleny Rae was honoured with the inaugural Ted Egan Regional Award at the 2026 Northern Territory Performing Arts Awards.
Named after celebrated musician, author and former Northern Territory Administrator Ted Egan, the award recognises significant contributions to the performing arts in regional and remote communities.
Gleny’s contribution to music, education and community arts in Central Australia was recognised as an outstanding example of the talent, dedication and cultural contribution found throughout the Northern Territory.
The awards were presented as part of the 2026 Darwin Festival, celebrating the artists, performers, educators and arts workers who enrich the Territory’s cultural life.
