AUSTRALIAN SINGER – SONGWRITER

Fiddle. Soul.
Stories from the Centre

Award-winning Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gleny Rae brings together bluegrass, folk, country soul and rhythm and blues – with a little musical mischief thrown in for good measure.

From the wide-open landscapes of Mparntwe/Alice Springs comes music with heart, humour and something to say.

MEET GLENY

A Musical Chameleon
from the Red Centre

Gleny Rae is not easily contained by one genre.

Fiddle-driven bluegrass and contemporary folk meet country soul, rhythm and blues, calypso colour and an unmistakably Australian sense of place. With fiddle, accordion, guitar, piano and a powerful storytelling voice, Gleny creates music that can make you laugh, think, ache and dance – sometimes within the same song.

Based in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, Gleny draws inspiration from the people, stories and extraordinary landscapes of Central Australia.

THE NEW ALBUM MOMENTUM

Two Sides. One Restless
Musical Spirit

Momentum brings Gleny Rae’s musical worlds together in one richly varied collection.

“This Side” celebrates the energy of bluegrass and folk, driven by Gleny’s spirited fiddle playing and acoustic arrangements. “The Other Side” moves into country soul, with expressive vocals, horns, rhythm and warmth.

Recorded with musicians across Alice Springs, Newcastle, the NSW coast and Nashville, Momentum is Gleny’s most expansive and adventurous recording yet—and her first album released on vinyl.

Lively, Unpredictable and Full of Heart

A Gleny Rae performance is much more than a collection of songs. It is an invitation into a world of colourful characters, resilient people, unexpected stories and irresistible rhythms.

Whether appearing solo, with the string-powered Grass Brazoos or alongside the horns and grooves of the Country Ace Soul Band, Gleny brings warmth, irrepressible humour and an infectious energy to every stage.

Expect feisty fiddle, honest songwriting, lively stories and a few musical surprises along the way.
